The Opportunity
The Product Manager supports the development and execution of Treatt's category strategy across Premium, Chemicals and HSF, helping to maximise portfolio performance, support commercial growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Working closely with Sales, Innovation, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain and Marketing, the role is responsible for coordinating category initiatives, managing product portfolios and supporting the successful delivery of cross-functional projects. The Category Executive acts as a key category contact within the business, providing portfolio expertise, enabling sales success and ensuring effective execution of category priorities.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop broad commercial, technical and category management expertise while contributing to the long-term success and growth of Treatt's portfolio.

What you’ll be doing
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Portfolio Management & Category Development
Support the Category Management team with the delivery of category strategies and initiatives that drive portfolio growth, profitability and customer value.
Ensure product and pricing information remains accurate and aligned across relevant business systems and processes.
Support product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions, changes, optimisation and obsolescence.
Support the review of aged, excess and held stock and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist with the review of BOMs, specifications and manufacturing processes where appropriate.
Identify and communicate potential opportunities for growth, cost reduction and portfolio improvement.
Support analysis of revenue, margin, volume, cost and other relevant category measures.
Support evaluation of competitive activity, industry developments and emerging opportunities relevant to the portfolio.
Support the successful launch and commercialisation of new products and solutions.
Develop a strong understanding of the Premium, Chemicals and HSF portfolios, including products, applications, raw materials and markets.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, efficiency and customer service.
Assist with opportunities for product standardisation, specification alignment and portfolio simplification across the group.
Commercial & Customer Support
Support the Sales team with the preparation of RFPs and quotes as required
Work with Sales and Customer Care teams to understand customer requirements and support appropriate product solutions.
Support customer projects by coordinating internal activities
Contribute product and category expertise to internal sales teams and customers where appropriate
Product Development & Innovation
Support new product development and innovation projects, working with Technical, Innovation and Operations.
Provide relevant product, market and customer information to support development activity.
Support product launches, changes and introductions through the appropriate internal processes.
Cross-Functional Support
Coordinate information and actions between stakeholders to support delivery of category priorities.
Support internal product and category knowledge-sharing activities.
Coordinate cross-functional projects that support category, portfolio and business objectives.
Work closely with Commercial, Innovation, Applications, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Regulatory teams to deliver successful outcomes.
What we’re looking for

Ideally, you'll have:
Degree in business, science, engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience in product management, category management, commercial, procurement, technical or supply chain environments.
Good commercial awareness and an interest in products, customers and markets.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and data analysis
Experience within the flavour, fragrance, food, beverage, ingredients or chemical industries would be advantageous.
